belly-2354_1920If you know me in real life or you’ve paid attention to my pictures, you’ll know that I’m a large person.  Fat.  I’m fat.  Very fat.  I could tell you about being underweight as a kid or knee injuries or a million other excuses but the truth is that I have no one reason that I am the size I am.  Instead, it’s been a combination of things over the years.

We’ve had a crazy year and over the last year, I’ve lost almost 50 pounds and yet, I’m still fat.  I have a long way to go to my goal weight.  100 pounds more to be exact.  So it may be strange that I’m giving you my tips and tricks for weight loss when I still have a good bit of weight to lose.  But here’s the thing: I know what’s working for me and I hope that it works for you too.

Slow and steady is more important than fast

Every day that you hit all your health goals is a good one.  Hell every day you get even one thing done is a good one.  Ya know why?  Because you’re not perfect and neither am I but we’re still trying, you know?

Don’t do too many things at once

If you try to change your diet and cut out red meat and workout 2 hours a day and drink 248 ounces of water all at one time you are gonna crash and burn and then you’re back to square one.  Instead, start off with something easy like drinking more water or taking a walk after dinner every night.  When you’ve done that for a week or two, then add another task.  Once something becomes a habit, it’s not so hard to do.

Think about what you’re drinking

Water is incredibly important.  The earth is made of 70% water.  So are you.  If you don’t get enough water, you get dehydrated and if you’re like me that makes you cranky.  Don’t be like me.  Drink more water.

Great nutrition will make you feel better

You would be amazed how about how much better you’d feel if you were giving your body great nutrition.  I started my own Le-Vel Thrive experience back in December and I immediately had a ton more energy. I started sleeping better too.  Furthermore I was just in a better mood.

Don’t give up

You don’t know how close you are to a major breakthrough.  What if just sticking your diet one more day were to push you over that weight loss plateau? .
